Patricia Burke Brogan is a painter, poet and playwright. Her etchings have won awards at Barcelona and at Listowel International Biennale 1982.
Above the Waves Calligraphy , her collection of poems and etchings, and the scripts of her stage plays, Eclipsed and Stained Glass at Samhain , were published by Salmon Publishing in 1994 and 2003 respectively.

has won many awards including a Fringe First at Edinburgh Theatre Festival 1992 and the USA Moss Hart Award 1994.

has been excerpted in documentaries and other collected works including The Field Day Anthology of Irish Writing, Volumes 4 and 5, Irish Women Playwrights of the Twentieth Century, Ireland's Women: Writings Past and Present and Motherhood in Ireland.
To date there have been sixty-one productions of Eclipsed on three continents. Patricia received and Arts Council Bursary in Literature in 1993, a European Script Writers' Fund in 1994 and an Arts Council Bursary in Literature in 2004.
Her newest stage play, Requiem of Love , was presented at the Town Hall Theatre in November 2005 and afterwards at The Pavilion Theatre, Dun Laoghaire. It will be further presented during  Project '06, in Galway, in July 2006. The book of the play will be published by Wordsonthestreet and launched as part of the Cúirt International Literature Festival in April 2006.
